SeisWare

SeisWare International Inc. develops upstream energy software solutions, such as our suite of geoscience interpretation software, Geophysics by SeisWare, and Geology by SeisWare. Our newest product, launching summer 2018, is Well Pad Planning by Seisware, a tool that automates well pad planning and field development in unconventional plays.

 

Teams wishing to use SeisWare are required to provide the following information:

 

  • University Name
  • Name of the team coordinator
  • Name and title of the person requesting SeisWare
  • Number of licenses required
  • Provide computer name(s) and Mac ID(s) that will be hosting SeisWare
  • Required Software

 

SeisWare will donate free software licenses (up to a maximum of 5) to any teams participating in the AAPG Imperial Barrel Award. Please contact to obtain your licenses.

 

The software will be available only for the duration of the IBA competition. The current commercial version will be provided to all participating teams requesting SeisWare licenses.

 

SeisWare can be made available for use in undergraduate or post graduate programs apart from the IBA project with an annual license review. Please contact for additional information regarding an Academic Software Grant.

 

For system requirements participants will want a high end 64-bit system with more RAM for larger datasets and 3D Geophysics.

Absolutely nothing but good came out of me participating in this extraordinary event. The IBA is gaining much attention (rightfully so) from major oil companies. Not only does it prepare you for an exciting career in the geosciences, it fine tunes your ability to work in a team with various backgrounds, under a deadline. Which is very important in the recruitment process. As well as exposing you to major role players in the industry via conventions and networking. I highly recommend students to participate in this event, I guarantee by the end of the competition, you will want more!
